16 stones 5.6 pounds. Yay, a little bit more shiftage! Actually, a bit of cheating as I didn't have an evening meal last night, as the lunchtime salad saw me through nicely...
That's not a good habit to get into, so I won't, but it's pleasing to see a downward twitch in the numbers.

Chili chicken on sauerkraut
16 stones 7.2 pounds. Mmm chicken oven baked with a chili sauce drizzled over it, served on a bed of sauerkraut. Easy peasy, tasty, and good for you.
Top tip: don't do too much chicken. Especially if you occasionally suffer from what my brother eloquently terms "the protein shits": at any point up to 24 hours after scoffing a mammoth amount of meat or fish, said meaty deliciousness makes a beeline for your anus from the inside...

Fishcakes and new potatoes
16 stones 7 pounds. That's not too bad at all, what aith my ickle brother's wedding in there, which I was expecting to pump the girth up a belt-notch or so.
So far, so back on the diet wagon, with a day of reasoned eating yesterday, a modicum of exercise (well, pooch-walking) and the same to come today, I'll wager.

Cheese and biscuits
16 stones 9.6 pounds. A bit of a breakthrough, as that's back under two stones weight loss since the start of this particular Iliad at New Year.
And still the blog updates are a tad patchy (a few reasons for this, largely unrelated to either diets or blogging), tho the weigh is showing a renewed downward turn, which is good. However the sporadic nature of these updates should be resolved soonish, which in itself will refocus my attention on the not-pie-eating.
Yesterday (Saturday) was my ickle brother's wedding, a splendidly ramshackle picnic and church hall kind of affair, with plenty of good honest grub (pork pies, cheese - Lincolnshire Poacher, Brie, and a Spanish blue cheese the name of which escapes me for the moment), decent artisan bread and a few barrels of ale.
Result.

Chili chicken on sauerkraut
16 stones 10.6 pounds. Ooo I love sauerkraut. It's glorious stuff. Not to mention practically calorie-free. And easy to prepare (if you can get away with forking a few mouthfuls onto a plate from the jar, and calling that preparation). So, bed of sauerkraut, with a couple of chicken breasts on top (smeared with a spicy chili sauce, and given 25-30 mins in the oven).

Cod and new potatoes
16 stones 9.6 pounds. No, i didn't believe the scales either. So I weighed myself again. And it said the same thing a second time.
I've no real reason why the number should have dropped that low, though I'm not complaining. Long may it contunue!

Chili chicken and salad
17 stones 3.2 pounds. A day back on the diet properly again. And even if the weight nudged up a touch, I feel a tad better because I'm doing something about it. Next stop - I need to hit the supermarket, and stock up with non-blubbery munchables.

A shot across the bows
17 stones 2.2 pounds. Oh bum. Now I really have to concentrate. I was at the GPs the other day, and he expressed concern at weight and related issues (though I got a mild 'well done' for weight loss this year).
So, blood sample taken, and am awaiting cholesterol results (lipids?). I should get them next Friday or so. Goodish news is that BP and blood sugar levels are OK; just have to make sure that my blood idn't 45% virgin olive oil. Or chip fat, come to think of it.
Meanwhile, back on the diet with renewed vigour.
About time too.
